Lilly Driscoll founded DE-MYS-TIFY in 2022, with the aim to support actors from low socio-economic backgrounds.

Sometimes it can feel impossible to find your way in the arts, especially when you feel like you have no industry connections. Working closely with our students, we navigate the nuances of being an actor, nurturing talent and enhancing skills. Every workshop is catered to demystifying the industry and breaking down barriers to participation.

With support and guidance from leading industry professionals, we go above and beyond your standard acting class, due to our bespoke way of working. Our 10-week course offers training developing stage and screen skills, looking at a variety of performance styles and methods, including comedy, devising and writing for performance. Students receive a free headshot session, a casting workshop, personalised wellbeing support and mentoring, and an industry showcase to help them take the next steps in their journey.

And because DE-MYS-TIFY is a totally unique training programme, we pay you to attend. Thanks to funding from Arts Council England and support from BOLD Elephant, the DE-MYS-TIFY 2024 summer term will be running throughout July and August, with two showcases September 9th.
