"I think the crucial thing I took away from DE-MYS-TIFY was that my voice is valid and actually necessary in an industry that seems shut off to so many, and that I should never stop pushing myself until someone is listening."

-
“DE-MYS-TIFY was exactly what I needed. It came at a point where I had no confidence, and felt like an intruder in arts spaces. Lilly helped me to find the power in my background and realise I'm exactly who the arts industry needs! Without the bursary I would never have been able to attend, and I (and the arts industry) would be poorer for it.”

"DE-MYS-TIFY is an absolute game-changing course for working class artists like me who depend on opportunities like this. It can be so scary to wander into the industry feeling like you’re alone, but with Lilly and my cohort, I feel so much more prepared.”

"I think the work Lilly is doing is super important because it gives people, who like myself come from a working class background an insight and way into the industry that goes against the more typical route of drama school. Drama school has become such an expensive placement that most working class people can not afford to go or leave with that amount of debt. The industry is also changing and drama schools are not keeping up with how the business has moved on and Lilly is brilliant at giving them a realistic yet optimistic blueprint for how to break through"

“Having not had access to training for screen & facing financial barriers to accessing any at this time, DE-MYS-TIFY has been an amazing resource in receiving real world training from people in the industry and an amazing way to make contacts. The space was held in a generous and kind way which meant taking risks felt safe to do."

"DE-MYS-TIFY is vital because it opens doors for those often left out of the acting world, like women, people from lower income backgrounds, and non-native English speakers. From leading workshops and seeing the talent first-hand, it's clear that the issue isn't a lack of talent among underrepresented groups, but a lack of opportunities. DE-MYS-TIFY helps to bridge this gap."
